Fish Breathes Sigh of Relief

There was an eerie silence in the house this afternoon. I was with the baby taking care of some diaper business. Usually the preschooler is continually calling out for me to come play with him, but as I said, I was experiencing a strange silence. It wasn't a "calm silence" because my mind was contemplating what mess I would encounter as soon as I was able to search the house. I called out, "Hey little guy, what are you doing?" His reply was, "I want to hold one of the guppies." My response to that was, "No. We can't hold the guppies." But this guy is quick. He said, "I am already holding one. I think he likes it." I don't think so. I walked in to see a guppy flopping around in his hand. The child said, "See he's really excited because he likes me to hold him." He was (safely?) returned to his wet home and hopefully he'll stay there.
